Reiki is a gentle, powerful energy-healing practice that restores balance to the body, mind, and spirit. This October, Coach Rashida Wright and Master Teacher Ifetayo White are bringing a rare, hands-on Reiki 1 & 2 Certification Training to the Mountain Dream Help community — an immersive weekend of training, sacred attunements, and deep practice that certifies you to channel Reiki for yourself and others.
A Rare Lineage of Mastery
Ifetayo White is a Usui Shinpiden Reiki III Teacher, attuned by Frans Stiene of the International House of Reiki. With more than three decades of practice, she blends classical Reiki with the somatic arts of Jin Shin Do and acupressure — a deeply body-centered approach that releases tension and stored experience that energy medicine so often leaves untouched.
The Attunements
Over the training you will receive the sacred Reiki attunements that open your healing channel, learn the foundational hand positions and self-healing sequences of Reiki 1, then deepen your practice with the traditional symbols and distance-healing techniques of Reiki 2. By the end of the weekend you will feel confident and certified to practice Reiki on yourself, your loved ones, and — if you choose — your clients.

The training is led by the founder of the Lowcountry School of Reiki and is hosted at Mountain Dream Help, the Poconos retreat space founded by Coach Rashida N. Wright — a Master Chef, Certified Breathologist, and Certified Professional Life Coach who blends plant-based wellness, breathwork, and life-mastery coaching into a truly integrative approach to healing.

What Is Reiki 1 & 2?
Reiki is a Japanese energy-healing technique in which a trained practitioner channels universal life-force energy through their hands to restore balance to the body, mind, and spirit. Reiki 1 (the first-degree training) opens your ability to channel Reiki, teaches the traditional hand positions, and gives you the tools to heal yourself and others in person. Reiki 2 (the second-degree training) deepens the practice with the sacred Reiki symbols and introduces distance healing — the ability to send Reiki across time and space.
Reiki 1 vs Reiki 2: What's the Difference?
Reiki 1 focuses on self-healing and hands-on healing for yourself, family, and friends. It is a profound introduction to the energy and the foundation every practitioner builds on. Reiki 2 is the professional level — you learn the three Reiki symbols, practice distance healing, and gain the confidence to begin offering Reiki to clients. Many students take both levels together for a complete certification in one transformative weekend.

Reiki certification is for anyone drawn to energy healing — wellness seekers, healers, massage therapists, nurses, caregivers, coaches, and anyone who wants a powerful self-care practice. No experience is required, and the Reiki 1 & 2 certification qualifies you to practice professionally.

Do I need any experience to join?
No. Reiki 1 & 2 is a beginner-friendly certification. The training meets you where you are and builds a solid, certified foundation.
What will I receive from the training?
You receive the Reiki 1 & 2 attunements, hands-on guided practice, a complete technique manual, and a certificate of completion certifying you to practice Reiki.
Is the training live and online?
Yes — live via Zoom. Reiki I runs Sat Oct 24 (2-6pm ET) and Sun Oct 25 (3-7pm ET); Reiki II runs Tue Oct 27 (7-10pm ET).
How much does it cost?
Reiki I is $425 and Reiki II is $425. Enroll in either level or both. Payment is by PayPal on the registration page.
